Amazing food! New location (for us, they moved w/in last 2 years) Will always go here when in the San Diego area!

Been here several times already, don't know how I keep forgetting to leave a review, this place is wonderful! We're locals born and bred, you know all about the old country waffles and the original ones and over the years it's been hard to except the changes. However change is not always bad and it's easier to be adaptable to your surroundings and remember the good Ole times and blend it with the new. It's exceedingly hard enough to find great breakfast places that can accommodate all, be affordable and be delicious. That's here!! We've come here with our little family, we come here for a quick breakfast date away from our kids, and it never disappoints. The menu has made changes, and it's added it's own flavor of something new while still keeping the original plates....if that makes any sense.... make your own interpretation haha. The staff, are just joyous and wonderful. Accommodating, friendly and I love having conversations with them with random things gnat make your day better. I love that this place always leaves me smiling coming in and leaving. The atmosphere is very open, can accommodate large parties, and the littles. Clean floors and equipment easy to see kitchen and food comes out quick, fresh and hot. They offer daily specials which is always a nice adventure to try and I love LOVE that they are open to suggestions and messaging changes to see what sparks the interest in the community. So that completed the 5 star review. I can't express enough how much we value the customer service, the love and conversations to get to know our servers and the folks. It's a rare find these days I feel like and want to support those that do have it and express how much it means to have that relationship where you are enjoying a place to be served. Makes you want to come back for more, and those who are thinking.... they work for tips.... you're absolutely right and it's well deserved to be tipped well for your efforts and the team. Food is hot and fresh, substitutes are allowed and something for everyone to choose from. Hope you enjoy this little gem despite the changes that our world has to do in order to stay in the fast lane. I've been looking for a mom & pop breakfast spot in this area of San Diego and was so happy to find this place. The got the farmers scramble (add avocado) and a biscuit. Everything was so yummy, though man the biscuit really was delicious! I wish the country potatoes had been a little more crispy and with slightly more seasoning, but overall they were still good. The service was fast and mostly responsive (only had to wait for something from our waiters a few times). We will be back!

They updated the menu! This is still our favorite place to come for breakfast/brunch. Last time we came there was a wait but we didn't mind; its worth it. They update the menu and it looks a lot more clean and very cute! Still the same items though which I'm glad they didn't change too much. My go to is the all american platter. The linguisa sausage and sausage links are both great choices! My girlfriend always get country fried steak. Highly recommend this place!!

Food is always fresh and delicious. Very jovial and excellent service by Alex and all staff every time. The topper to great food and customer service is down home atmosphere and very comfortable seating. I yum it all. I enjoy it all!

Country Waffles serves typical diner food. Their menu is huge and portions sizes are very large. I got the Santa Barbara eggs benedict which was smothered in hollandaise sauce and an avocado on top. You have the choice of fresh fruit or potatoes on the side. The place was packed but we got seated quickly and the waiter was attentive. The inside is a typical dinner vibe and very casual.

I should really write a review on Country Waffles. Country Waffles is 22 year old branch of a Northern California based Country Waffles Breakfast & Lunch. They moved into the Clairemont Mesa Blvd location from Point Loma in January 2023. I have gone several times to eat. I feel like it is more "fast casual" atmosphere. Service is friendly and efficient. My faves? - Nutella, Strawberry, & Banana Waffle - Caramel, Banana & Pecan Waffle I definitely have a sweet tooth! I've also tried their omelets but keep going back to waffles! ENJOY!!
